About Matt

Matt Hughes serves as our E & I Division Manager, having joined the company in 2009, and is now responsible for the oversight and leadership of Precision Electric. Matt joined Precision Electric as a Technician and worked his way up to a Project Manager and then COO in 2018. Once Precision Electric was acquired by Mid-State in 2022, Matt continued to lead the team in his current position.

Matt began his career in the industry after completing the IBEW Apprenticeship Program in 2008, where is he was awarded the Apprentice of the Year for 2005 and 2006. Matt’s background includes certifications and experience in Project Management, Thermographer, & Instrumentation. Matt earned his Master Electricians License in 2010 and currently holds a Registered Electrical Contractors License.
